SAMR is an ICT integration model which functions similar to the levels of thinking in Bloom's taxonomy. SAMR has four levels namely; Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. Lower thinking skills such as remembering, understanding, applying are associated with substitution and augmentation level of SAMR model. These involve using basic technologies to replace or enhance the traditional tools. Higher thinking levels such as analyzing, evaluating, creating can be used in the modification and redefinition  Lesson plan no.2 Teacher’s name: Tshering Dema Subject : science  Topic: Degradable and Non- degradable Things  Class: IV Time : 45 minutes  TLM: video clip, google docs, quiz, pictures of degradable and non-degradable things   ICT model : SAMR  Previous knowledge : material we use every day Man-made and natural things  Learning objectives  At the end of the lesson, each student will be able to ; Define what degradab...

Middle Level ICT Integration  Today we were oriented on using PhET simulation. It originally stood for "Physics Education Technology ", is a project at the University of Colorado that creates free, interactive simulations of science, social studies, and math concepts that is beneficial for the students in better learning. It is because I feel that it will engage the students as it engaged me. On top of that it is easy to use and every student can get access to it. PhET simulation can give a virtual experience where students can feel as if they are doing it manually. For example; designing a circuit. There are numerous benefit of using PhET simulation.   Enhanced engagement and learning - it makes learning more interactive and engaging by fostering a deeper understanding of scientific and mathematical concept. For example, in designing a circuit   students are actively engaged by connecting cells with wires in order to light the bulb.  Improve conceptual u...
