Communicative tools

Communicative Tool
Communicative tool refers to applications or apps that enable easy communication between sender and the receiver. ICT not just provide information but it is also a great platform to communicate effectively and efficiently. ICT offers a variety of channels for communication, including email, social media, messaging apps, video conferencing, and more. This allows people to connect and share information across distances and time zones. It makes the communication easier to everyone unlike in the past.

Reflection
By going through the communicative tools, I found out that we can also use these tools formally in
teaching and learning process. We can use google docs, google slides in teaching and learning.

We can even use social media apps such as messenger, telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat and many others to communicate with peers as well as students and teachers.

We learned that there are two types of communication, synchronous and asynchronous communication which is differentiated by real-time and recorded online class.

The main communicative tool that we learned in this topic is Google classroom  which is very important online platform where teachers and students can communicate asynchronously, not requiring students and teachers to communicate at the same time but can communicate at different times. I think google classroom can be a useful communicative tool in teaching and learning, some of the advantages of  using it are;
  • Better Organization: By offering a central location for exchanging assignments, announcements, and other resources, Google Classroom simplifies classroom administration. Everyone remains coordinated and in agreement as a result.
  • Improved Accessibility: With an internet connection, students can access course materials at any time and from any location. This is especially beneficial for people who learn remotely or skip class due to illness.
  • Simplified Communication: Google Classroom makes it easier for parents, students, and teachers to communicate. Instructors can quickly disseminate news and changes, and students can ask questions or provide clarifications. Additionally, parents can be updated on their child's development.
  • Effective Feedback and Grading: Google Classroom allows for electronic assignment submission, which improves teacher efficiency in grading. Additionally, feedback may be given right within the application, which enables quicker response times.
  • it can be also used when pandemic hits and when teaching and learning has to be done online.
Since Google classroom is a useful communicative tool, we created our own google classroom and let me show you the steps involved in creating it.
