Reflection
In todays class we were introduced to ICT as a constructive tool. Just like we need raw materials to construct a durable building, constructive tools such as power point presentation, Camtasia, Concept maps, google classroom, simulation, etc are essential tools to improve our knowledge by manipulating what we already know.
In this class, we used Cmap to construct our knowledge. Cmaps can be very useful in teaching and learning by visually organizing information, concept maps can help people to better understand and remember complex topics. It can be a helpful tool for brainstorming new ideas and exploring relationships between different concepts. It can be used to communicate ideas to others in a clear and concise way. They can also be used to facilitate collaboration by allowing people to see how their ideas fit together. Thus, I used the Concept map to represent or summarize the classification of animal for class six. By seeing the Cmap, students can easily understand the concepts as it is simple and easy to remember.
Camtasia studio is also one of the constructive tool which can be use to create video tutorial and video lesson for an effective teaching and learning. Camtasia is effective in teaching and learning as it combines screen recording, video editing, and output into a single program, making the creation process efficient. The videos can be edited and is user friendly. We can insert videos, images, callouts and even texts by using Camtasia which will be useful for the students with different learning styles and preferences. Video lesson and video tutorial can be useful when teachers are not available in the school. Students can learn as if the teacher is there teaching them. Here's the video lesson that I had created.
